The need for a regional 911 system was brought to light after calls were released where dispatchers were unable to determine the location of a caller driving through multiple Broward County cities.

The project has an estimated price tag of $43 Million. Of that money, $18.7 Million will come from the BSO budget, the other $20.7 Million come from homeowner property taxes.
