MIAMI – People living at the Fontainebleau Gardens apartments in west Miami-Dade County woke up Tuesday to find water inside their cars after heavy rain flooded the parking lot.
"It's like an ocean," said Bradley Owyie. "This is the first part of the rainy season. This is going to happen every day in South Florida. We can't continue like this."
"I have to park outside until they get this fixed," said another resident. "I'm sure they have a drain system. I don't know how they are going to get this going."
Some parents carried their children across the parking lot while others waded barefoot to the bus stop.
"I live in the last building, so I had to pull up my pants and walk through all of it. I didn't have a choice," said one girl.
