MIAMI – Multiple people were injured Sunday afternoon after two boats collided near Elliot Key, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
A total of 9 people were transported, including one person who was airlifted to Jackson Memorial with a leg injury that appeared to be non-life threatening, FWC officials said.
The boat that was hit is a 36-foot Carrera, which had 16 people on it. The other boat, which capsized, had two people onboard.
No other information was immediately available.
