Teen suffers serious burns

MIAMI ā€“ A man, a woman and two teenage boys were injured after the home caught fire overnight Tuesday in Miami.

The home is located near NW 46th Street and NW 12th Avenue.

"The front of the house was fully involved in flames," said Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Ignatius Carroll.Ā

According to investigators, the father saw flames when he woke up to the sound of his son screaming about 4:40 a.m.

"It was really dark. You couldn't really see nothing," said a neighbor.

The man alerted the rest of his family and the four tried to escape.

The youngest -- a 15-year-old boy -- was caught in the blaze. His face and arms were badly burned.

"I just woke up," said a neighbor. "I smelled all the smoke and seen all the lights."

As his son recuperates in the hospital, his dadĀ sifted through the pile of rubble that used to be home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. A man and woman were also transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Conditions of the 15-year-old boy, man, and woman weren't immediately released.
