Police search for gunman in Hollywood murder

Donavin Johnson shot, killed


HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Police are looking for the gunman who shot and killed a 20-year-old man in Hollywood late Friday.

The shooting happened at S. 28th Avenue and Jackson Street about 9:14 p.m.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired found Donavin Johnson had been shot. He was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A witness told police a white-colored sedan drove away from the area when the shooting happened.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the head nearby on Friday evening. Police don't believe the shootings are related.
