Man was taking pictures at Broward Governmental Center

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Police need help identifying a suspicious man who took pictures outside the Broward County Governmental Center.

About 8 a.m. August 1, Fort Lauderdale police said the man in the above picture entered the Governmental Center.

He asked the security guard several questions, police said. The guard thought the man left until he found him in a secured area of the parking garage.

The guard saw the man taking what appeared to be a panoramic photo or video of the building. He was then seen typing on a tablet immediately after taking the photos.

The guard told the man to leave.

The man was seen leaving in a 1998 or 1999 "S" series Mercedes that didn't have a license plate. The white sedan had a gray bottom with dark tinted windows, a sunroof, and noticeable front-end damage.

Police described the man as being in his mid 30s to early 40s, 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet tall, having a medium build, light brown hair, and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a dark gray shirt, tan shorts, with a dark color book bag.
