Couple charged in kidnapping, sexual battery returns to South Florida

Juan Jimenez, Nicole Jimenez held on no bond

MIAMI – A husband and wife returned to South Florida where they are accused of kidnapping and raping an 11-year-old girl with special needs.

On Wednesday, a judge ruled Nicole Jimenez will be held on no bond. Her husband, Juan, on Saturday also received no bond.

Earlier in the week, the couple was extradited from New Orleans, where they were arrested last month.

According to police, the couple abducted the girl near Northwest 15th Avenue and 50th Street on June 6 while she was walking home from school. A camera at a home along Northwest 15th Avenue captured video of a grey sport utility vehicle that police said they used.

The girl returned home about four hours later -- bruised and scared. She told police the man lured her into a light-blue sport utility vehicle that a woman was driving, then drove her far away to a house she described as junky. The man raped her, then brought her back to the neighborhood.

Juan Jimenez, 38, is charged with sexual battery on a minor and kidnapping a child under the age of 13. Nicole Jimenez, 26, is charged with kidnapping a child under the age of 13.

Police continue to look for the house, which is described as blue and white and located south of Southwest 211th Street. Anyone with information on case is asked to call the Miami Police Department at 305-603-6640.
