TAMARAC, Fla. – Tamarac Commissioner Patricia Atkins-Grad has five days to resign after the Supervisor of Elections office verified a recall effort against her.
If she doesn't resign, an election will be held asking voters in her district whether they want to recall her.

"The sweat, sunburn, time and exercise will be worth the effort once we have honest and effective leadership in the District Two Commissioner's chair again," said volunteer Walter Morris.
In Dec. 2012, jurors acquitted Atkins-Grad of accepting bribes from two real estate developers in exchange for her vote on a housing project. Her attorney said she was politically naive.
