ATLANTA – The Fort Lauderdale Strikers' two loanees from FC Dallas played a big role in the club's 1-0 win against the Atlanta Silverbacks on Saturday.
Bradlee Baladez headed in his first goal for the Strikers in the 34th minute, and Richard Sanchez recorded a shutout as the Strikers won their second straight match.
"We scored with the first big chance we had," said Strikers head coach Günter Kronsteiner. "I think we deserved this game I think we had a lot of chances to close this game."
Atlanta nearly tied the game when they received a free kick in the 90th minute. Sanchez made the initial save save, then Atlanta's Pablo Cruz's shot off the rebound hit the crossbar.
The Strikers host the Carolina Railhawks at Lockhart Stadium on Friday, August 30.
