An Urgent Marine Information Broadcast was issued and a boat was launched from Station Key West to help the boaters.

The crew was able to rescue the two men, who were wearing lifejackets, from the water.

"Wearing your life jacket and equipping your vessel with a VHF radio and Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) greatly improves your chances for survival during emergencies on the water," said Lt. Ricky Brooks, command duty officer at Coast Guard Sector Key West.

No injuries were reported.
