MIAMI – Miami-Dade police searched a neighborhood in southwest Miami-Dade County on Tuesday as part of the department's investigation into the murder of an 18-year-old girl.

Investigators searched in the area of the 22100 block of Southwest 134th Avenue after receiving a tip in the case of Tiffany Cabreja, whose friends and family held a vigil Monday night.

When they arrived at a home in the area, a man ran off. Police found him a few hours later and the man, who has not been identified, was being questioned Monday night.

Investigators also recovered the truck that witnesses saw Saturday morning. That truck was being processed by MDPD Crime Scene Investigators Monday night as well.

Witnesses reported seeing what appeared to be a body fall out of the truck. The driver stopped the truck, placed the body back inside it, and continued driving north on Southwest 144th Avenue, they told police.

Witnesses also reported to police that they saw a young child in the truck at that time. Police have confirmed that child has been located safe and unharmed. That child is with his/her family and the relationship with the suspect is not yet known.

Surveillance video captures a still image of the suspect's vehicle, sought after by police.

Police described the driver as being in his 30s, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, and having black hair. The truck had an open-caged cargo bed, a roll-up tarp, and writing on the drivers side door, possibly a mid-2000s Isuzu NPR single cab with an 18-foot trailer.
