Murder suspect to police: 'I killed my father'

Jeffrey Moss charged with 2nd-degree murder, attempted felony murder


MIAMI – A man accused of beating his father to death and throwing his wheelchair-bound mother out of her chair confessed to Miami police officers, according to an arrest affidavit.

Police arrested 40-year-old Jeffrey Moss on Monday. He was charged with second-degree murder and attempted felony murder.

According to an arrest affidavit, officers responded to a 911 call at 261 NW 55th Street on Sunday afternoon. When they arrived, Moss said, "I killed my father and my mother is lying on the floor unresponsive."

Moss' mother was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Her condition wasn't released.
