2 hospitalized after dirt bike hits boy in Fort Lauderdale

Detective says boy listed in critical condition


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A boy and the driver of a dirt bike were taken to the hospital after the dirt bike struck the boy and ejected the driver.

The incident happened Friday night in the 2300 block of Northwest 16th Street.

Fort Lauderdale Det. DeAnna Greenlaw said the boy, who is about 5 or 6 years old, was listed in critical condition.

The driver's condition was not provided.

It's unknown what led to the incident.
