Tannehill to fans: "Just hang in there"

Quarterback trying to encourage hope

DAVIE, Fla. – Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill had a message for discouraged Dol-Fans, "Just hang in there."

Tannehill realizes there's turmoil surrounding the team, but sees brighter days ahead, "We're going to battle through this thing.  We're going to get this situation sorted out in the locker room that whatever needs to take place, whatever decisions need to be made, that's what we're going to do.  On the field we're just going to keep pressing forward and continue to fight and get better.  We're in a tough spot right now but at the end of the day we're still in the playoff hunt."

The Dolphins have lost 5 of their last 6 games.

Still, Tannehill sees hope, "Do we need to win more games and win games we have coming up o our schedule? yes. We're still in this thing and we understand that and we're excited about the opportunity we have against San Diego this week."

Tannehill was asked what it will take for him to get on the same page as new receiver Mike Wallace, "I think it's just a matter of keep playing.  I think he ran a great route the other day in the game.  He had Darrelle Revis ten yards behind him and I made a bad throw.  I was moving to the right and it tailed to the right on me.  Sometimes it's on me, sometimes it's on him.  We just have to get it together and be on the same page."
