NEW YORK – After years of strictly catering to supermodels and those who look like them, Abercrombie & Fitch will finally be offering women's plus sizes in 2014, at least online.

The retailer has attracted negative controversy since 2006 when its CEO Mike Jeffries said that Abercrombie & Fitch's clothes were more for "cool" and "good-looking" people.

The company did not announce which sizes will be offered or whether the plus size clothes will ever be sold in stores.

According to CNN, the move to larger sizes may have something to do with the bottom line. CNN reports that Abercrombie & Fitch stock is down more that 25% this year.
