Deputies: Woman took dog to home burglary

Part of crime captured on home surveillance system

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Brevard County deputies are trying to find the woman they say had a small dog with her while she burglarized a Melbourne home.

Deputies say the crime happened last Tuesday at a home on Davidia Drive in the Windover Farms area.

Surveillance cameras at the home show the woman and the dog approaching the front door. She is then seen trying to pry open a sliding-glass door. Deputies say she was able to eventually get inside, and was later seen leaving through the front door carrying a bag.

Deputies say the woman was middle-aged and Hispanic, about 5 feet tall and 150 to 200 pounds.

The cameras caught her driving off in a small late model SUV that may be blue or green.
