MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Daniel became South Florida's first 2014 newborn at 12:23 a.m. Wednesday.

His mom, Irina Gudtcova, gave birth to her first baby boy Wednesday morning at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.

At 8 pounds, 4 ounces, Daniel was 21-inches long. Gudtcova was born in Russia.

About seven minutes later, Memorial Hospital Miramar welcomed its first newborn. His name is Wesley.

At 2:05 a.m., Ana Garrido gave birth to little Jonathan Guerrero at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

Congratulations to Garrido and Jonathan's dad, Jose Luis Guerrero.
