Concepcion said a woman was struck by a white Chevrolet pickup truck that fled the scene. She was taken to Broward Health Medical Center in stable condition.

A short time later, Laudehill police were notified of a truck matching the description driving erratically. That truck eventually crashed into a fire hydrant near Northwest 49th Avenue and Northwest 22nd Street.

The driver of the truck, Ivanka Cancic, was taken to Florida Medical Center. She faces charges of driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident involving injuries and driving with a suspended license.

Concepcion said Cancic's driver's license was revoked because of previous DUI arrests.
