Mother of Justin Flowers seeks justice for teen son

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ A $5,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of a driver who struck and killed a 15-year-old boy in Fort Lauderdale earlier this month.

The mother of Justin Flowers spoke to the media Friday morning from the intersection where her son was struck.

Police said the Pompano Beach teenager was trying to cross Broward Boulevard near Northwest 27th Avenue on Feb. 9 when he was struck by a green or black four-door Jeep with tinted windows.

Diana Romero Castro said she is determined to find the person responsible.

Ā "We're not going to stop this cause until we do justice for Justin," she said.

A candlelight vigil was being held at the same site Friday night.
