3 arrested in DEA raid at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport

DEA says cocaine seized from plane

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Three people were arrested Thursday morning during a raid at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.

The Drug Enforcement Administration confirmed the arrests after Local 10 received an anonymous tip that federal agents raided a plane at the airport and seized 52 kilos of cocaine.

A DEA agent at the scene told Local 10's Terrell Forney that "a lot" of cocaine was seized, but he did not say how much because more arrests were expected.

It is the second drug bust at the same hangar in about four months.
