San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick takes to Twitter

MIAMI – San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick responded Friday to reports of a Miami police investigation looking into sexual assault allegations involving him and two other NFL players.

Kaepernick used Twitter to say that reporters from TMZ and other media were "making things up." However, Miami police released an incident report based on the allegations of an unidentified woman who claimed to be his lover.

Kaepernick also tweeted that the woman was making things up. Police talked to the woman after she woke up at a local hospital saying that the last thing she could remember was being naked in an apartment in Brickell with Kaepernick and NFL players Quinton Patton and Ricardo Lockette.

The woman also told police there athletes invited her to smoke marijuana before she blacked out.

Lockette and Patton have not responded publicly to the woman's allegation or the ongoing police investigation.
