MIAMI ā Miami International Airport is kicking off the first match of the 2014 World Cup Thursday in a 31-day series of activities at the airport.
Thursday's new conference and celebration will highlight the soccer-themed attractions being held at the airport, including Brazilian music and dance performances, interactive mini-soccer fields and Nintendo Wii Soccer game stations.
MIA expects nearly 200,000 passengers to travel through the airport on their way to and from Brazil during the world's largest sporting event.
The World Cup events at MIA conclude on July 13.
