Boy, 4, falls from third floor balcony in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A 4-year-old boy fell from a third floor balcony Friday, according to Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue.

Authorities found the boy conscious on the ground after falling at 1752 NW 3rd Terrace.

Crews immediately assessed the child and was taken to the Broward Health Trauma Center as a trauma alert, authorities said.

Fire Rescue officials said the boy was transported under the care of Fort Lauderdale paramedics without incident.

There were no other injuries reported.
