CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A school caught fire Saturday at 12500 West Sample Road in Coral Springs.
Officials were called Sawgrass Springs Middle School around 5:30 p.m. after multiple reports of smoke coming from an area of portables outside of the school.
Firefighters put out the fire that was reportedly started after the school was hit by lightning.
Officials said the damage is extensive.
No other details were immediately released.
