1 dead, 1 hurt in crash on I-95 in Pembroke Park

Fatal crash shut down southbound lanes Saturday evening

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – One person is dead and another was hurt after a crash Saturday evening on Interstate 95, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

All southbound lanes on I-95 were shut down after 7 p.m. after the two-vehicle crash at Hallandale Beach Boulevard in Pembroke Park.

The two drivers were both ejected from their cars. One of the vehicles rolled over. Troopers said the victims were taken to the hospital, where one of them died.

No passengers were in either of the two cars, troopers said. It's unclear what prompted the crash.

All lanes reopened after 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
