Police search for iPad thieves


MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Police are searching for two people who stole iPads from a shopping cart at 14555 Southwest 42nd St. around 3 p.m. Sunday.

Police said the victims had just left the supermarket when they realized they left two iPads sitting in their shopping cart. When the victims returned to recover them, the iPads were no longer there.

Upon watching surveillance footage, investigators said they saw a man and a woman pick up the iPads, turn them off and hide them before walking out of the store.

The man is described as being white, 60 to 70 years old, with gray hair. He was wearing a blue shirt and cargo shorts.

The woman is described as being white, 60 to 70 years old and was wearing a red shirt, black pants and a cross-body purse.

Police said they left the store in a dark-colored SUV.
