Pompano Beach man arrested in roommate's stabbing death

Samuel Dulavoix, 22, stabbed roommate more than 25 times, deputies say

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A man is being held in the Broward County jail on no bond after he was arrested in connection with the death of his roommate Saturday night.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies said Samuel Dulavoix, 22, and his 39-year-old roommate, Rahmel Alexander Taylor, were arguing over money when Dulavoix stabbed the victim more than 25 times before attempting to clean up the scene and conceal the body.

When deputies arrived at the apartment, 3208 Marine Drive, in Pompano Beach, they found Dulavoix covered in blood and could see a pile of bloody blankets.

Dulavoix was taken to the hospital to have superficial cuts to his hands treated.

A medical examiner said Taylor had no defensive wounds, which is a sign that he did not try to fight back.

Dulavoix is charged with second-degree murder.
