WESTON, Fla. – Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are searching for a Weston man who fled from a deputy trying to arrest him Thursday night.
According to the BSO, Damian Fernandez, 21, was in handcuffs when he struck a deputy and ran away. The deputy wasn't injured.

Deputies searched for Fernandez for several hours using a helicopter and K-9 deputies.
Fernandez, who was being arrested on warrants for non-violent property crimes, was wearing black shorts, a white tank top and no shoes.
Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
