CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Police are searching for a man who held a woman hostage for three days at the Wishes Motel at 4700 Southwest Eighth St. in Coral Gables.
Police said Robert Rafael Herrera, 36, of Wilton Manors, was armed with a knife while he held the victim against her will.

The woman reportedly escaped after striking Herrera with a lamp. Herrera fled the scene before police arrived.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was treated.
Police said Herrera is considered armed and dangerous. He is now wanted for armed kidnapping and aggravated assault.
