GAINSEVILLE, Fla. – The woman who claimed University of Florida quarterback Treon Harris sexually battered her has withdrawn her complaint.

On Friday afternoon, Harris' attorney Huntley Johnson tweeted, "Treon Harris absolutely and unequivocally wants to stay at the University of Florida."

Treon Harris' father, Tim Harris Jr. also tweeted, "Thank God! Love my family. #Harris #F5."

A university spokeswoman confirmed that the complaint against Harris had been dropped, but said "This means she is not pursuing criminal charges against him at this time but maintains the right to do so in the future."

The university is expected to decide whether Harris will be reinstated the football team later on Friday.

On Monday, UF announced the freshman's suspension from the team a day after he allegedly sexually assaulted a student at a residence hall on campus.

Harris, a true freshman from Miami, came off the bench last weekend and helped lead the Gators to a 10-9 comeback win at Tennessee. Many fans were calling for embattled head coach Will Muschamp to replace starting quarterback Jeff Driskel with Harris.
