MIAMI – Police have located the parents of a child found wandering the streets in Miami.
Miami police said the 4-year-old girl was found about 2 a.m. Wednesday wandering in the area of 6527 Northwest 13th Court.

The child was taken to a police station in Miami and later turned over to the Department of Children and Families. The mother was in the hospital.
A representative with DCF said there is now an open case in the matter and that DCF has a history with the family.
A shelter hearing is reportedly set for Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
Police are not releasing the identities of the parents or child at this time.
