PLANTATION, Fla. – A lawn maintenance worker who was trapped underneath a riding lawnmower that toppled into a canal Wednesday has died from his injuries, Plantation Fire Department spokesman Joel Gordon said.
The 23-year-old man was pinned under the water near Northwest 105th Way in Plantation.
Firefighters pulled the man from the water and performed CPR.
He was taken to Northwest Regional Medical Center in critical condition and pronounced dead about 45 minutes later.
The victim's identity has not been released at this time.
