MIAMI ā Service to the Miami Metromover was temporarily disrupted Wednesday, affecting riders on their morning commute.
A notice on Miami-Dade Transit's website said the entire system "is currently out of service for an undetermined amount of time."
Free shuttle service was being provided as an alternative.
A transit official told Local 10 News that a substation electrical issue was to blame.Ā
Sandra Ortega, a broker who works at the Miami Center, depends on the 4.4-mile automated system. She was inconvenienced, but it could have been worse.
"It's better than driving, definitely," Ortega said.
The free Metromover service typically runs from 5 a.m. to midnight daily.Ā
