Police: Motorcyclist hurt in crash at NW 5th Avenue, 58th Street


MIAMI – A motorcyclist was hurt after colliding with another vehicle, Miami police said.

The crash happened around 7 p.m. Saturday at Northwest Fifth Avenue and 58th Street.

The motorcyclist was heading eastbound as the other vehicle traveled westbound. The vehicle was attempting to make a left turn on Northwest Fifth Avenue when the motorcyclist hit the side of the vehicle and crashed, police said.

The driver of the motorcycle was unresponsive at the crash site and was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Trauma Center in "grave condition," according to Miami police.

The driver of the vehicle was not hurt and remained at the scene, authorities said.

Police said the crash remains under investigation.
