Man arrested in multiple robberies across Miami-Dade County

Andres Gonzalez, 31, charged with 3 counts of armed robbery with deadly weapon

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – A man believed to have robbed multiple businesses in Miami-Dade County has been arrested in the Oct. 16 robbery of a Subway restaurant at 296 NW 42nd Avenue among other similar robberies.

Andres Gonzalez, 31, is facing three charges of armed robbery with a deadly weapon and is being held in jail on no bond.

Police said Gonzalez was armed with a black pistol when he walked into the restaurant at about 9:45 p.m. and demanded cash from an employee inside.

Police believe Gonzalez's latest target was another Subway restaurant at 965 NE 125th St. Surveillance cameras captured the robber walking into the restaurant Sunday night, armed with a handgun. Police said the culprit demanded money from the cash register from employees, and left with $300 in cash.

Surveillance cameras also show a man, believed to be Gonzalez, robbing a 7-Eleven convenience store at 533 NW 103rd St. on Oct. 6, another 7-Eleven at 965 NE 125th St. on Oct. 19. and a Family Dollar store near North Miami Avenue and 119 Street on Oct. 18.
