Dalisia Trealla Barnes charged with bringing firearm to a school

MIAMI – A South Florida mom was arrested after threatening to bring a gun to a school and harm herself and others.

Dalisia Trealla Barnes, 28, told the Department of Children and Families (DCF) on Wednesday that she planned to go to Myrtle Grove Elementary School with a gun.

DCF informed the police of Barnes' threat.

When she was approached by police at the Miami Gardens school, Barnes agreed to have her car searched.

It was during the search that police found an unloaded gun in the car's glove compartment.
