CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Police are trying to find a missing Coral Gables Senior High School student who has been missing since Friday.
Miami-Dade schools police said Samantha Delgado, 16, hasn't been seen since being dropped off at school by her mother.
Her parents told Local 10 News she is being held against her will by her 20-year-old former next door neighbor, Fabel Gin Escalante.
Delgado was last seen wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans, a maroon top with black stripes and navy Crocs.
Police are calling Escalante a person of interest in Delgado's disappearance.
"Basically, I guess they exchanged numbers and he started talking to her about how pretty she was," cousin Dede Delgado told Local 10. "After a while she ended (things) and he wasn't too happy about it, so he threatened her, according to her friends, (and said) if he finds out she was with somebody else he was going to kill him and her."
Her closest friend, Beltania Bermudez, said Delgado "felt scared."
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
