POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Broward Sheriff's Office traffic homicide investigators were looking for the driver of black or dark blue Chevrolet Silverado that left the scene of a Christmas Eve crash in Pompano Beach.
The crash occurred about 8 p.m. Wednesday.
A witness told deputies the pickup truck had a tag that included "IB7" or "1B7" and had the "Chevrolet" sign in white letters on the tailgate, BSO spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion said.
The truck was a 2003-2006 model, Concepcion said.
A motorcyclist heading southbound on North Federal Highway stopped at the traffic light at Northeast 14th Street. The driver of the pickup truck struck him from behind and failed to stop.
The motorcyclist was taken to Broward Health North.
