Pedestrian struck by car on Interstate 95, FHP says

FHP: Person believed to be homeless struck while walking on I-95

MIAMI ā€“ A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car on Interstate 95, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident happened Wednesday night in the southbound lanes of I-95 just north of Commercial Boulevard.

Troopers said a person believed to be homeless was walking on I-95 when he was struck by the car.

As a result of the pedestrian being hit, the car that hit him and two other cars collided. Troopers said the drivers did not suffer serious injuries.

The pedestrian was taken to Broward Health Medical Center in an unknown condition.
