TAMARAC, Fla. – Broward Sheriff's Office homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Thursday afternoon in Tamarac.
Detectives said Ivan Brandt, 51, was shot inside his home at 7925 NW 85th Ave.

Deputies were called to the home after a neighbor reported hearing gunshots shortly after 3 p.m. Deputies weren't able to make contact with anyone inside, so the SWAT team was called.
When SWAT team members entered the home, they found Brandt dead inside.
Investigators worked through the night, processing the scene and gathering evidence.
