Bieber due in Miami court for lawsuit filed by photographer
Photographer claims he was attacked while trying to photograph Bieber last June
MIAMI – Justin Bieber is expected to appear in a Miami court Thursday to face charges in a civil lawsuit filed against him by a photographer.
The pop star, who turned 20 on Saturday, is scheduled to make an appearance at 10 a.m., according to court records.
Bieber's visit to South Florida comes one day after a judge granted the release of the remaining video from the morning of his arrest on Miami Beach in January. A majority of the video had been released to the public last week.
Thursday's appearance stems from a different case. Professional photographer Jeffrey Binion alleges he was attacked by four men while trying to photograph Bieber outside of a Miami recording studio last June.
According to a report by Miami-Dade Police, Binion claims he was grabbed by the throat and had the memory card stolen from his camera.
Police have said there was no damage to Binion's camera.
