PLANTATION, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a man was found dead Monday morning on Florida's Turnpike.
The body was discovered on the side of the highway going southbound at Peter's Road Bridge in Plantation at about 8 a.m.

At this time, troopers do not believe any cars were involved. They do not know whether the man was killed on the turnpike or if his body was dumped there.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
