WESTON, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who stole purses from four cars outside a preschool in Weston.
Surveillance video showed the man walking up to a white Nissan Pathfinder on Jan. 26, in the parking lot of St. Paul Lutheran Church at 580 Indian Trace.
As the mother was inside getting her child, the man opens her unlocked door and steals her purse.
Deputies said he stole three other purses in a matter of seconds.
The man was seen driving away in a black Chrysler Town & Country Minivan.
Since the theft, one of the victim's personal information was used in an attempt to open a fraudulent bank account, deputies said.
