Davie man traveling more than 90 mph, had blood-alcohol level of .21, police say

DAVIE, Fla. – A Davie man's blood-alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit when he caused a 2014 crash that killed a 6-year-old boy, police said.

Jordan Fuss, 20, was arrested March 4 on charges of vehicular homicide, reckless driving and DUI manslaughter.

Davie police said Fuss was driving more than 90 mph on Stirling Road when he crashed his 2004 Infiniti G35 into another vehicle at Davie Road just before midnight last Oct. 3. A 6-year-old boy who was riding in the other vehicle was killed.

Witnesses told police that Fuss' car changed lanes several times in the moments before the crash and didn't slow down as it approached the intersection.

According to the arrest report, Fuss had a blood-alcohol level of .21. The state legal limit is .08.
