Motorcyclist killed in crash outside of Biltmore Hotel

Police say motorcyclist crashed into back of postal truck


CORAL GABLES, Fla. – A motorcyclist died after crashing into the back of a postal truck outside of the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables.

According to Coral Gables police, both vehicles were traveling west in the 1200 block of Anastasia Avenue about 2:15 p.m. Sunday.

As the postal truck slowed to turn into the entrance of the hotel, the driver of the red Kawasaki motorcycle crashed into the back of the vehicle, police said.

The motorcyclist, who hasn't been identified, died after being airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The driver of the postal truck stayed at the scene.
