MIAMI – Following the shooting of a 10-year-old and two 16-year-olds, a community plans to gather with police Thursday night in an attempt to find out as much as they can about the crimes.

Ten-year-old Marlon Eason was shot in the head Tuesday around 8:50 p.m. in the 1900 block of Northwest Fourth Court. He was taken to Jackson Ryder Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Family members and friends of several teenagers who were shot Tuesday night gathered at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

Earlier in the evening, two 16-year-olds were shot in the 2000 block of Northwest 18th Terrace. They were both also taken to Jackson Ryder Memorial Hospital. Richard Hallman died at the hospital. The other victim was listed as being in critical condition Tuesday night.

The community, along with the Miami Police Department, is asking others to join them Thursday night as they will walk block by block and go door to door handing out fliers in an effort to gather as much information as they can about the shootings.

The group will meet at the Historic Saint Agnes Episcopal Church at 1750 NW Third Ave. at 6:30 p.m.

Anyone with any information on the shootings is asked to contact police at 305-603-6350.
