MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – The Miami Beach Police Department says a suspicious package found outside Miami Beach Senior High School Tuesday morning has been deemed safe.
The Miami-Dade Schools Police Department tweeted just before 8:30 a.m. that they were investigating a package found outside the school.

Students and staff were safe and secure inside the school at the time.
A Miami Beach police representative told Local 10 News that a box was left unattended in the busway area.
The bomb squad was dispatched to the scene before 8:45 a.m., but no evacuations took place.
Police said the box was empty.
