PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Five restaurants, one catering company and bakery were all ordered shut last week by state inspectors.
Two of the locations, Udipi Cafe in Sunrise and Cayard's Bakery in North Miami have been ordered shut in the past.

Below is a list of places and some of their violations. All the locations listed below were allowed to reopen following ordered clean up and re-inspections.

"Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. Observed 9 roaches on the doors of the non-working reach-in cooler on the cook's line in the kitchen. Observed approximately 10 inside the oven on the cook's line. 1 inside the middle compartment of the 3 compartment sink."
"Live flies in kitchen, food preparation area, or food storage area. Observed 3 near a garbage can in the kitchen. Also observed that the back door is wide open. The door was closed."
"Dead roaches on premises. Observed 5 on the doors on the non-working reach-in cooler on the cook's line in the kitchen. Observed a dead roach in the bottom of the bowl for the large stone grinder. Observed 4 dead roaches and 1 roach egg case inside the oven on the cook's line. 1 on the wall above the 3 compartment sink. 1 on the floor in the kitchen. Approximately 5 inside benches for seating in the dining room. 9 on the floor behind a non-working reach-in cooler in the service area and 1 inside the same cooler."

"Shell eggs held at room temperature with an ambient air temperature greater than 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Observed Shell eggs were taken out of refrigerator and placed on prep table at grill. Cook put shell eggs back in refrigerator."
"No proof of required state approved employee training provided for employee hired more than 60 days ago."
