Woman slips more than $1,000 worth of Radio Shack merchandise under dress

Feb. 26 theft at Weston store caught on surveillance video

WESTON, Fla. – A woman in a floral dress walked into a Radio Shack in Weston, slipped several computer parts under her dress and walked out with $1,140 worth of merchandise.

The Feb. 26 theft was caught on surveillance video.

It took a store employee several hours to notice that a large section of shelving was empty.

Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Dani Moschella said a man acted as a lookout while the woman placed seven computer components under her dress. It appeared that there was a bag hidden under the fabric of her dress.

Anyone who recognizes the woman or her companion is asked to call the BSO at 954-389-2010 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
