Woman accused of killing boyfriend denied bond

Markeita Davis, 31, charged with second-degree murder

MIAMI – A woman accused of fatally shooting her boyfriend at his home in Miami was denied bond on Tuesday.

According to an arrest report, Markeita Davis, 31, was in a car accident Saturday and got into an argument with her boyfriend, Taurus Frazier, afterward as he was standing in the doorway of his home and she was standing on the front patio.

Police said Davis fired multiple shots at Frazier and ran off.

Frazier was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to police, Davis came back to the scene and told officers that she had shot her boyfriend in self defense.

Witnesses at the scene also identified Davis as the shooter.

Davis was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
